Neddy Smith: TURNAROUND

Hidden for a couple decades in storage on 2” tapes, unreleased music by Neddy Smith from the 80’s have been found and given new life by Grammy award winning mix engineer Ben Arrindell.

These 80’s style music were mixed at Quad and Sound Clash Studios by Ben Arrindell, who has worked with the likes of Yolanda Adams, the legendary Gerald Levert, K-CI and JoJo and others.

Neddy Smith, an accomplished bassist and songwriter/composer, who with his band is responsible for these original recordings recently discovered. He has played various styles of music from his Jazz roots to R&B, Funk, Pop, Reggae and others. He has also taught music at the Montego Bay Boy’s and Girl’s Club, graphics systems software application worldwide, and led a music ministry. After completing the TURNAROUND album, he will begin working on some new materials that he has composed and are sitting in his studio.

The new album titled “TURNAROUND,” will include many new tracks written and composed especially for this project, including the title track “Turnaround.”

Since returning to recording, Neddy Smith has been on a spiritual journey which has taken him many years to get to where he can begin creating new songs in various styles that will reach many new fans all around the world. The album will also include “Give It Up” and “Liberated Woman,” a rare classic record which has already taken on a cult like following in Europe, where 12” vinyl LPs are still in demand and being sold.

Neddy Smith’s new album is scheduled for release in March 2008.
